Writing Your Speech
Writing a good speech is like driving a car.  It's hard at first, but you get better with practice.  SpeechClassHelp.com has written dozens of sample speeches for you to read, and we stand ready to write a custom speech on any topic that you select.  Here are the steps we recommend to get started:

    1. Find a topic.  If you need ideas or help, check out our topics section.

    2. Determine what your professor requires in terms of outline format, number of sources, citation format, etc.

    3. Determine the length of the speech.

    4. Find your sources.

    5. Structure the body of your speech into three main topics.

    6. Write your introduction. You can use a quote, a joke, or something that will attract your audience's attention.

    7. Write the body of your speech in the order of your three main topics.  Try to include subtopics for each, and organize them logically.

    8. Read your speech aloud to see if it makes sense.  When you've read it enough times that you're comfortable with the way it sounds, read it with a timer and see how long it is.

    9. If your speech is too long, cut.  If it's too short, add.

    10. Incorporate the material from your body into your outline.  For more information on outlines, see our outline section.

    11. Write a bibliography or works cited page.

Or, purchase a speech from us and get a head start!  You will still have to make sure that your new speech meets the criteria of your class (that's your responsibility) but you'll have a good starting point.
